We help children to smile…while they are in hospitals and at school
Since 2001, the volunteers at the Smiling Faces Forever Foundation have helped kids in hospitals smile during Christmas and Easter by delivering toys, and by donating backbacks filled with school supplies at the start of the school year.
What we do
The Smiling Faces Forever Foundation raises funds to purchase toys for children in Broward County, FL, hospitals during the Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Fourth of July and throughout the year. Foundation volunteers deliver the unwrapped toys to the children. We also purchase and distribute backpacks and school supplies to children in need at the beginning of each school year.
Why we do it
We care about children. Giving a gift to a child spending the holidays in a hospital brightens their stay and gives them comfort. We provide assistance for children whose families cannot afford toys, school supplies, food and other necessitities.
Who we help
Founded in 2001, by Joe and Carolyn McCahon, Smiling Faces has expanded its reach and has delivered toys to children at Broward General Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital, Coral Springs Medical Center, Chris Evert Children’s Hospital and Plantation General Hospital. We also work with Family Central, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options, and hospice groups.
